I was born in Montreal, and left Quebec for Ontario when I started University.
From 1978 - 1983 I lived in Kitchener, then I moved to 'cottage country' (Midland/Orillia) and never looked back.

It's always fun to see your bitch ass around these parts again, Kingz.
I'm from Sorbonne myself.

Technically I'm from the US. It says so on my passport. However, I grew up overseas and as such I have a lot of difficulty identifying myself with any one nation. When people ask me where I'm from I never really know what to say. How about Earth?

Are you like those quazi-German Austrians who like singing about Jam and Bread? In that case, I abhor you.

Did I say abhor, I meant adore! The fact that they sing about tea changes everything!

I'm from earth just as DustCropper.
I don't live in the (apparently) popular country known as Finland. I don't live on an island and I don't live in Norway (I still want to give Terabin a medal for learning the language). Now which country do I live in then? A hard riddle to solve.

tracts of land. I pity you if you didn't get that joke as you probably haven't yet seen the funniest film ever created by humankind. EDIT: BTW, I'm originally from Seoul, Korea, which is where the almighty Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian teams fell to the Red Devils from Korea during the last World Cup. I came to the USA with my family when I was 17. I'm now 35 so I spent just about half of my life in Korea and the other half in the US. |

Uh oh, I should've clarified, I do not go to a school in which everyone learns Norwegian. I go to a school that has Norwegian roots (founded by Norwegian immigrants in 1874), and they offer Norwegian, but mostly, it's just a normal liberal arts college. I'm majoring in religion. And so I don't know any Norwegian other than the Norwegian I had to memorize for the pieces we're singing on tour. But Eivind, you should come hear us at the Nidaros Cathedral on Friday, June 17th. That is, if you like choir, band, and orchestra music. I'm in the choir, but we're doing a joint concert at Trondheim on that date, with the band and orchestra who are also touring during that time.
Actually, for I time I knew some Japanese. I wish I still did. Sainto orafu daigaku no gakusee desu. In other words, I'm a St. Olaf College student. Yes. Last edited by Terabin; 05-25-2005 at 03:03 PM. |

I'm kinda like dusty. I was born in the US in Saint Louis, MO, so I hold an American passport, but my parents are from a small country which passed through Phoenicians, Arabs, Ottomans, French, Indepence, Civil War, Israeli and Syrian and Palestinian fighting, Independence again. This 10000 square kilometers is called Lebanon.
I went back to Lebanon when I was 2, and came back to the US at the age of 22. Now I'm almost 29, so I've been here for about 7 years. I first came to State College in PA where I studied for 2 years, then I moved to the beautiful San Francisco bay area.

Alas, I don't have cosmopolitan roots like so many of you. Warsaw, Poland, it is, and has been for my whole life so far (excluding holidays). As a form of a consolidation, my close relatives live in Slovenia and in Latvia, though .
I also seem to be my country's only representative among currently active posters, as far as I know.

One more German here. Didn't get around too much and preferred the vicinity of Frankfurt - no idea why. But cosmopolitan in mind.

You're quite good at Japanese, Mr. Gilly. I'd have to say that I don't understand most of that. And thanks for reminding me, yes I go to St. Olaf College. Just to clarify. I am a man of clarity.
