I've been listening to a lot of Christmas music for a while now. All of November, really. Yes, it's early (I'm one of those that's really against Christmas decorations before four Sundays before Christmas) but since my job makes me listen to Jingle Bells all day long this time of year I may just as well mix it up with some really good music. (And hearing Ella Fitzgerald sing the song now and then helps.)
I've discovered two new (to me) great albums this year: Andrew Crouch - The Gift of Christmas (His Mary's Boy Child in particular is great.) David Phelps - Joy, Joy

I know the feeling. The chorus I used to sing with starts practising the Christmas songs in October. They have their annual Christmas show on 2/12.

Mediæval Baebes have a gorgeous Christmas album out. It's not new material, but it's still lovely and worth buying.
Right now I am listening to Sambassadeur - In the Calm. |

Ah, probably the best track on their new disc....
The Prize Fighter Inferno - A death in the family. This is Claudio Sanchez (Coheed And Cambria) solo. It's a little bit of Dntel meets Justin Timberlake meets Sanchez' helium voice and starts really cute. But ends like.. crap. The album is pretty woeful, too.
