Where do you live?
I'm not sure if we had this thread already, so if we do, please delete/merge this.
Here we can show people where we live. Be it your room, your house, your garden, or your city - everything goes. Here is my room: Computer section. The left one is my Internet and general use computer "Igor", the other one has become my nostalgia computer, used to play old games. Decoration on the wall. Geckos are nice. Please notice the small blue poster with the wheelchair on it. It is from last years Drama production "The Man who came to Dinner", in which I performed. I got the entire cast and crew to sign it. The T-shirt wardrobe of Doom. "Of DOOM!" Of DOOM! More wall decoration. The top dragon is by me, and is made of wood. The bottom one is a jumping jack (it was a do it yourself set. You had to cut everything and assemble them. The dragon is one of the more complicated models. The guys who sell them design them themselves - I think the dragon is an old model which they designed in the 80's. I have only seen them selling their jumping jacks at the Franfurt Christmas market) I stand corrected: I found the website of the guys who made the dragon do it yourself thing. It is Bärenpresse - Die Bastelbogenwerkstatt My sofa (standing under my bed), my tv, and my Didge. - EDIT: Added link to Jumping Jack page.

Well, it is only half of the computer area that is a mess (the half that is around the nostalgia computer). The rest of the room is quite tidy (the picture where you see my Didj' is tidy. The scarf that lies on the floor is part of my school stuff, which is normally not in my room. )
But I really have to tidy up the shelves... -

I think the area around your bed would be safest to keep tidy, otherwise you will end up dying a most horrible death when you clamber out of bed every morning.
And I thought the missus was messy...pfft AF

I posted my window view in another thread, so I'll post a view from the back of the house this time.
I live in a suburban/rural area. Lots of tall trees ready to fall on my house. The neighborhood is fairly quiet. There are a number of horse owners here, plus a couple lamas, chickens, and maybe a wallabe. I'm not sure if the wallabe moved away. Deer also walk around the place. |

Why does everyone say my room is messy?! At least 90 % of it are not messy. I really cleaned up my room. The whole area in front of my bed used to be covered. And at that time, the comfy chair wasn't even in my room. And that corner just looks messy because I have a small IKEA shelf on rolls standing there, which was originally for my scanner. Most of the stuff you see is sitting on top of that rolling shelf. Really guys, this is NOT funny any longer... -

*collects herself again*
Okay, lets discuss this like little children (because we all know that grown-ups cannot discuss properly ) My. Room. Is. Not. Messy. If anybody that disagrees would please come up and argue this out with this Grue I have found. Don't be afraid. He can argue really well, and with common sense. Just as long as you don't turn off the light. Oooh... Who put the light out? -

Well, your room isn't messy if you start comparing it to mine. Sadly, though, that's nothing to be proud of.

I don't think "messy" really covers it. I just vacumed my apartment and cleaned the toilet. The whole thing used to look like a battlefield from World War 2 but now it shines like never before. 8-) But I really should clean up my desk some more though.

I have some pictures of my house (before we moved in) here.
Haven't gotten around to taking pictures of my desk (still!) because the batteries in the digital camera are dead and I'm too lazy to charge them. -emily |

Beautiful house, fov. You guys live in the 'foggy' part of the city, right? I never really got to go there much, even when I lived there briefly with my ex years ago. I remember it was always cold there in the summer months.
*sigh* Wish I could afford to have a little studio flat in North Beach, my ideal neighbourhood.

Last year we had a barbeque on June 20th. It was the last day we saw the sun until September.
It's beautiful right now though (when it's not raining) and will probably continue to be beautiful up until summer comes. Then we can drive up to Marin on the weekends until the sun comes out here again (September / October were gorgeous last year). I think my favorite thing about living right near the ocean is seeing it on my way to and from work every day. Some mornings the waves are just huge and it's really soothing to drive past that for 10-15 minutes with a good cup of coffee... At night there's usually a great sunset over the water as I drive home. -emily |

Some new photo's from various things:
My car, a Volvo 480 from 1992. I've driven various cars, but none of them match the comfort of this one. I'm the second owner, and the previous one treated this car like a Queen. Oh, and the 480 is the only Volvo entirely designed in the Netherlands. Various pictures of my little office in the attick. The top one is my desk, and the other photo's show the rest of the room. Well, that's it for now... --Erwin
