I finally started a journal on Blogspot, a Christmas gift to myself. It'll make keeping a diary much more convenient, I'm on the computer most days and I've bookmarked it to go directly to a blank posting field, ready to receive my entries. I will still use my physical journal when I'm at places away from home.
I haven't much looked at many other people's journals, but from the few I've sampled thus far I realized how differently I write, the contents, the minute details of my life, what they mean and why they mean. I guess I just delve into things in a particular way. In hindsight, many of my physical, handwritten journal entries have had a Socratic modus operandi about them. Some time back I had commented that I don't feel comfortable expressing myself so intimately in a very, very public space (the Internet). But I've changed my mind. There is no human experience, no matter how painfully personal and individual, that is not universal and deserving of empathy and compassion by others.

used to use LJ a couple of years ago but then stopped because it had lost it's use to me since I broke up with the person who invited me to it...it was a quite a hectic breakup, but I lazily started using it a couple of months back.

I have one too, username concreterancor, but I haven't written in it since early November. I was thinking about just turning it into game reviews of all the computer games I play, since whenever I write about my own life, it sounds either really dull or more angsty than I want to be.

Funny, I was just talking about blogs with a friend of mine on the phone a few hours ago. I mean, that's funny assuming that blogs and LJ are similar. And maybe not even then.
Anyway, I've been writing a diary for a few years, between 20 and 22, and then I found a girlfriend, and the need to write went away. Seems like the only thing that inspire me is the search for love.
