Yet another memorable one was Indy escaping from the giant boulder in Raiders.

That one became a play-time classic for me. I'd always imitate it. I'd have my sister throw a pillow at me and jump off the bed into a mattress on the ground while escaping from the pillow boulder. And I'd always win, just like Indy.

Want to know something pretty crazy. I've been a fan of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade for years, but I only saw Raiders of the Lost Ark for the first time last year.

It's fun because of the interplay between Connery and Ford, but it definitely has the least replay value for me. I just don't get the sense of tension and action out of that movie that I do from Raiders and Temple. It's still great, mind you, but I don't think it's nearly as complete a film as the first two.
I think all of the Indiana Jones movies had that certain quirky sense of humor to them. You can't really tell me that the movie with Short Round is more serious than Last Crusade.

To me Temple of Doom just seemed a little too fantastic, like it was off the wall even by Indiana Jones standards. And the girl was just annoying.

I like Marion from Raiders, that's it. And Sophia if you count her.

I like Elsa. (Although she looks older then she really was.)

Insatiably greedy, at that. You saw what she did at the end!! Plus, nobody betrays Indy and gets my respect.

She's a good villian though. The difference between her and the other Indy chicks is that she was a villian instead of a side kick.

Plus, she's a wuss. She's so stiff that if you pushed her a little she'd fall over flat as a board. She has none of the spunk of Marian.

So if you were Indy you would prefer to go on an adventure with Willie instead of Elsa. (Before you knew she was a Nazi that is. )

Neither! Boo any Indy love-interest that isn't Karen Allen! Unless perhaps she's Jennifer Connelly, but only because Jennifer Connelly is the hottest woman alive!

Karen Allen will always be the quintessential 'Jones girl' to me.

I voted 'Raiders'; I feel its elements are most balanced and the pacing is great. Also, the Williams score rules.

I concur, it's the best of all of them in terms of edge-of-your-seat rollicking fun. The pacing was highly impressive and the integration of the action elements was superb, one sequence was barely over when the next one practically overlapped it in a split second. The first time I saw it I was breathless.
