Default Wagon Wheels

So I was food shopping this weekend at Iceland, and I came across two biscuits I hadn't seen in a long time: Gold Bars and Wagon Wheels. Got two packets each for the nostalgia value, taste just like I remember with one exception. Maybe I'm confusing this with something else, but didn't the Wheels use to have cinnamon? Someone tell me I've not gone crazy.

I vaguely remember there being two kinds, one in red packaging and one in purple, I think purple was cinnamon. don't ask me why I remember this when I can't even remember my own phone number though

Well, I'm across the pond from you, and I haven't heard the name Wagon Wheels since the 70s, so what I'm thinking of probably isn't the same thing. If there was cinnamon involved, it probably wasn't a strong flavouring component. But then, as I said, we may be discussing two different treats. Not even sure if Google-fu can help here... hmmn... well, indeed, it might be the same thing after all: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wagon_Wheels.

Nope, you've definitely gone completely fruit-loops. I don't remember Wagon Wheels ever having cinnamon in them.

I absolutely love Gold Bars though. I like biting the hard caramel coating off the biscuit (I too am a chocolate layer short of a Wagon Wheel )

Rollin, Rollin, Rollin.

I don't think they hughly tasted of Cinnamon, but they certainly had cinnamon in them.

Edit: Ok checked interwebs and I must be wrong.
