Beer and books. Why do I think the people on this forum have a focused and entirely accurate view of me?

Thanks muchly. Greatly appreciated.

Now I'm approaching the big 4-0 I think I'm using my glasses a lot and turning rather grey. What do you guys think?

Y'know, I think we all forgot last year!

O-tanjôbi omedetô, Urhan-san!
Here's your special birthday okonomiyaki, enjoy!

There once was a bloke named Step,
Who quaffed an entire case of Schweppes,
He chugged, swigged and slurped,
Then released a melodious burp,
Was he proud of his gassy feat? Yep!

(It's definitely more challenging to rhyme "Step" as opposed to "Stephen", isn't it??? )

Thanks for that. Of course, we don't have to import it over here.

I have no idea what's in that but I'll try anything once.

Our friend in Hastings known to all as Good Guy Stepurhan
Has proved himself to be quite the AG renaissance man
At ringing bells and brewing beer he's shown a fair deft hand
But his clever rhyming prose has turned us all into his fans
And now it is his birthday, whatever should we do?
Just raise a pint to Step and say a cheerful "Here's to you!"

Happy Birthday, Stepurhan!

Buy a pint for Step is better but I suppose that would be tricky in the circumstances.

Well, it's easy enough to buy a pint, attach a note to it to say it's for you, and wait until you come and collect it, but you won't have much profit from it

Happy Birthday, good sir, and know that I will raise a pint in your honour... as soon as the missus isn't looking.

Not to worry. I had my birthday meal today (Mrs Urhan didn't get back until late last night) so you're still well within time. Love the proper typewriter.

Try a pint of stout. It looks just like a pint of coke.

From a great distance viewed by someone with poor eyesight.

With these belated's as well it's like having a three day birthday. Excellent!!!

I wouldn't have thought a guinea pig would have enough meat on it to make it worth cooking. Is it a particularly delicate flavour that makes the effort worthwhile?
