A Geforce GTX 260.
Yes, not the best card on the market, but a) a reasonable price-point and b) much, much better than my Geforce 9500. Now I just need the new power supply to arrive... |

Wow. I made a pretty big splurge today that I'm pretty happy with.
I finally bought myself a laptop, since crating around my desktop is just a pain in the butt. I bought an HP mini netbook, I believe a 2140, although I'm not sure if this is the right model or not. I bought it from a friend who just bought it at Christmas, but really had no use for it. It's so small, but the keys are the perfect size for typing. It comes with Windows XP instead of dreaded Vista, and it's even got cute little swirls on the top. Much better to cart around, has a whole bunch of GBs, and the only flaw I can see is that it doesn't have a dvd drive, but I can live with that, since Louie just got me a portable dvd player. And I got it for $230.

Hey Fantasy, that's great you didn't get a Vista machine! I want a laptop just so I don't have to sit in the SAME place when I'm on the net or gaming! I imagine adventure games being really nice on a sofa or in bed as opposed to at a desk...
I bought £350 ($550) worth of radiators yesterday!!! WOOOOO!!??

These just arrived today, my black Vibram FiveFingers (KSO style). Freaky-looking, aren't they? And I wonder why they're called FiveFingers??? I'll be wearing them around the house during the winter to get used to them, then wear them outdoors in the spring (I know for sure I'll get crazy stares from people on the bus! ). Maybe I'll post some pics of me wearing them in the Photo Thread?
Hmm, not crazy about the lighting in the above pic, so here's a more generic image from the FiveFingers site:

Those are some badass shoes.
I recently picked up a very nice $500 Brooks Brothers suit for a sinfully low price, which I'm considerably happy about.

I finally found a source for black nuts! That's walnuts harvested while still green, and then pickled. I need them for my Wow-wow sauce. So I just ordered two glasses, as well as a glass of Pomegranade-Blood Orange marmalade.

I ordered myself a pair of Rocket Dog sports shoes. The ones I chose are the "Ice Cream Beijing Blossom" shoes in blue:
I showed these to my sister, and she loves them. I wanted to get some for her too, but sadly she wears a larger size of shoes, and they're no longer available in that size, if they ever were. -

Cute shoes, Jazzie.
You call that a splurge, Fanstie??? Well, I guess it is if you paid more than $20 for Rhiannon! I've been on a bit of a spree myself. Just pre-ordered the Tales of Monkey Island DVD! The Russian import version of Dark Fall: Lost Souls was a real bargain. (Considering the game's short length and disappointing ending, I'm glad I didn't pay $30 for it!) From Amazon, the Bleach SOULs Character Book: Now that the weather's warmed up again, I can go for hikes in my Fivefingers (see above) and freak people out!
