Thanks, Fantsie dear for the hug, and bullsie for the kiss! I'm OK with the anniversary, and seeing the flowers around the tree and plaque makes me feel a little better. Would anyone believe some student actually stole the white rose?!

On top of that, I found out yesterday that my great aunt passed away on Monday at the age of 94. She was fairly close to my mom and to my grandmother. It looks like I'll be one of the pallbearers at her funeral on Saturday.

I second that Trunk. Except for the prayers, because I'm an atheist.

94 years is quite impressive. I hope your great aunt had a wonderful life!

Like... A real professor, or more "just" like a title?

If I win (which I won't), it entails 3 lectures per year, judging some prizes and promoting poetry.

Don't forget the girls man! They will come to you like flies! "Oooh, our cute poetry professor!" they'll yell, while you run for your life.

Sorry Robert, I don't have FaceBook. And I can't vote for you anyway because I didn't graduate at Oxford

Heh. At this point I need the oxygen of publicity to fan the flames of my poetic movement!

I invite non-Oxonians to show their support however possible!

TO VICTORY!

Great poem, even if I didn't read it fully (and if one of you didn't notice, it's readable even if you're not on FB, which I'm not either)

The poem is the candidate statement BTW.
