I own the entire series of Futurama, and I've recently bought all of the Buffy seasons as well. Buffy is one of those shows that gets a lot of flack from people who haven't seen much of it, but it really is quite brilliant. I saw the musical episode for the first time yesterday, and I can't get enough!

I also own the first season of LOST, but I don't think I'll bother with the second season. I'm still a fan, just not enough to buy the rest of the season sets.

I want to get Firefly next, and Veronica Mars after that. Or maybe the other way around.

I forgot that I have the first series of Count Duckula, despite the fact that it's sitting right next to me...

Doctor Jesus Christ, lucien! That's some list you've got there.

I just bought 24: Day 1, after downloading Day 5, which was the first 24 series I ever saw. Got hooked, and I'm going to watch the rest in chronological order.

Good to see that there are other fans of the x files.I've been thinking of buying the entire 9 seasons. These chinese version seem to be cheaper than the U.S versions.Anyone know if these will work?I can't afford the U.S versions so am thinking of getting these.

Wow, reading all these lists makes ME feel like an underachiever (or underacquirer?)...I have Mystery Science Theatre, Vols. 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9. Can never seem to track down 3 or 6, and Best Buy STILL doesn't have 10 available at the local store! Yeesh. Oh, and "The Essentials" 2-disc collection, featuring the episodes "Manos" and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians". Classics.

Beyond that, I'm going to start buying Buffy and Angel seasons up, as I reallllly miss both shows. I needs me fix, I does. And getting up at 6 in the morning to watch them on FX and TNT---ain't gonna happen. I like to get up at the crack o' noon. Grrrr, arrrrgh. (lol)

Oh, as far as the whole "best Trek show" discussion...ST:TNG, and DS9 were my favorites. I always enjoyed the ones where it was like they were one big twilight zone gag. Like when Crusher starts experiencing members of the crew vanishing, and no one else notices. Or, on DS9, when Jake revisits DS9 as an old man, to change the past. Both shows seemed more willing to take risks, and were more emotionally interesting than the other shows.

Voyager was fun the first couple of seasons, but after 7 joined the crew, it seemed like the writers forgot that any other characters existed, lol. And Enterprise kept screwing around with timeline continuity, which irked me....it was the only Trek show I abandoned completely, after about season 2. Hopefully JJ Abrahams can breath some new life into Trek 11...

Other shows I'd maybe get on DVD, when I hit the lottery, lol:

-Harsh Realm. Always curious about this one.
-24
-Alias
-The X-Files
-The Simpsons
-Futurama
-Garth Marenghi's Darkplace: grew to love this when SciFi aired it recently. Great parody of cheesy '80's television.

The title of that Alien box set annoys me. There is no such word as "quadrilogy" it's tetralogy dammit!

Great films though.

Lucien, what's Carnivale like? I've only heard little dribs and drabs about it but never got around to renting it (it was on HBO so I never got the chance to watch it). I'll Google it but what did you think?

It's a bit on the weird side.

A traveling carnivale of freaks, an Avatar of light and dark who are learning their powers (Clancy Brown is superb as the Dark Preacher) and apocalyptic showdown.

I love it, but maybe not to everyones taste.

Thanks for the insight.

I like weird. I tend to go more for shows that are weird/fantastical than are realistic. I think I'll rent those.

Great set, isn't it! Those documentaries are simply awesome, very insightful. And we finally get an extended cut of Alien 3, which is a big bonus.
