STtNG, my favourite Trek Series.

1. STtNG
2. First two seasons of the Original Star Trek
3. Enterprise
4. DS9 (well, I only saw the first two seasons...)
5. Voyager

I received Superman The Animated Series Vol.3 recently, very nice set.

Wow, those DVDs will keep you busy for a while!

I love Star Trek: TNG, I think I've seen practically every episode (and more than once!) It's definitely one of the best Star Trek shows.
The first season is good, but probably my least favourite. When first I starting watching it in the 90s, I didn't see the episodes in order, so I'm more familiar with the show with its post season 1 changes.

Enjoy watching them!

I heard Voyager was the next best to Next Gen.. you didn't like it? I have the original Star Trek series season one and started watching those - not quite as good as the Next Gen. Enterprise is the one with Bakula right?

lol. I feel like such a Star Trek geek. I understand why so many people love it now.

Voyager had a lot of potential in the first season, I think, but it went steadily downhill from there.

Anyhoo. Next Generation is my nostalgic favorite, but I think Deep Space Nine is the best Trek from a literary quality standpoint. In practice, I like both more or less equally.

To restate my views (if anyone cares).

In order of preference:

The Next Generation
Deep Space Nine
Voyager
Enterprise
The Original Series

Yes, I hate the original series. Well, perhaps "hate" is too strong, but it has dated badly. And yes, I know that they're relaunching it with updated special effects, but that will just make the rest of it look even more dated.

That said, I think that I prefer the films to any of the series; certainly, the films are the only ones I have on DVD (so far). And The Original Series crew is great in the films, so don't think that I hate the characters .

Do let me know what the last episode of TNG is like. Curse the BBC for repeating the entire thing a few years back and then giving up before reaching the end. I'm seriously going to have to buy those DVDs one day...

I love Voyager, I got hooked on it in 2000 and at that time it was my favourite. I really liked Janeway as captain, there's just something I find appealing about a strong, powerful woman.

I hated Deep Space Nine when it first airred in 1994, and didn't watch it. When Sky One showed the entire thing again a couple of years ago, I decided to try watching it again and really liked it that time around.

I hated Enterprise (ugh) but I watched the whole thing anyway.

I enjoy The Original Series, not one of my favourite Treks, but the characters are great, and it's quite comical to watch now. I have season one, and it's my only Star Trek DVD.

My thing with the Original Series is that I don't like Kirk or Spock. However, I do like the rest of the characters, so the TOS films and TOS eps that give some love to folks other than Kirk or Spock I enjoy watching.

Heh. I have a secret to share...

Data annoys me.

I mean, it's not that I hate him or anything, but by Star Trek: Insurrection I was desperate for them to give more screen time to Worf and co. I appreciate that Data is one of the central characters, but the films felt a little too much like the Picard and Data show (not that I can complain about the former, because Patrick Stewart single-handedly makes TNG).

Gosh I really am enjoying these. Each episode is so fun. Definitely some cheesy FX here and there but great storytelling.

On that note, I am also enjoying I Love Lucy. And yes, I do love Lucy. brilliant!

I have the first two seasons of Coupling, the first season of Battlestar Galactica and the entire Spaced series.

I Love Lucy was brilliant stuff. She was such an amazing physical comedienne and also quite a powerful woman in the business with DesiLu productions.

That's next on my list.. Battlestar Galactica. Everyone raves about it.

Yea Lucy is just great. I love her. She plays this dope but then she really shows her talent when she does something like a dance. She's just so multitalented. In this episode I just watched, she is trying to fit into a dress so that she can dance in Ricky's production and she's up against all these younger girls. She's trying to act like them - all rolling up her sleeves and pushing her chest out. She looks really silly. But in the end she has the last laugh. She's all done up and she does all the dance moves flawlessly of course. But that's what's so cool about her. She's a dumb redhead but underneath it all is that talent. so great.

I have:

Sherlock Holmes Season 1 and 2 (Jeremy Brett series)
Frasier Seasons 1-8
Cheers Seasons 1-8
Babylon 5 Season 1-5 and the movie box.

I think that's it for series, not including miniseries boxes.

My most notable series boxes are

-Firefly
-Farscape season 1 & 2
-The entire run of the Transformers cartoon series (the old one, of course)
-Blackadder-
-some Scrubs
-some A-Team
-Invader Zim
-Batman the Animated Series (season 1 & 2)
-The Office

And some anime series in the whole. I do love series on DVD! I think it's the best thing ever. Also, I love Star Trek. I think my favourite series is The Next Generation, but I've seen approximately twenty times more of Voyager, which despite some random cheesiness I always found charming.

I also love Voyager. I especially liked the episodes with the Borg and Seven of Nine.
This autumn I'm following Star Trek The Next Generation on TV (afternoons). I'm getting into that series more and more now but I have a hard time with Worf. He's such a pompous personality, although with a very pleasant voice.

Weeds Season 1

the best tv series ever made, besides Homicide: Life on the Streets.
