Here's some works in progress from me. I seem to be obsessed with death and pointy and sharp things right now. Oh, and gears!:
First of all, an attempt at drawing an elf in a slightly different style: Second attempt (slowly getting there): And now: The following is Death - though I also like to call this picture "my doom", as once again I found myself drawing feathery wings, something that I was never able to do to my satisfaction: A girl with a pointy knife (this is an excerpt from a not finishbed piece. There will be a background). Also, petticoats were my salvation in this one, as I found myself unable to draw the legs believeably: "Gears": What do you think? Constructive Criticism welcome! -

I like the girl with the pointy knife. Look at the expression on her face--nice!

I have some more of my drawings here.
Sophie, the girl from the stories on my website: My goldfish, when it was still alive: And a nail clipper: I hope you like them! Does anyone know how to make clickable pictures on this forum? I have to put all those links there to comply with Flickr's terms of service. Clickable pictures look nicer. |

Thankies! I want to make an etching from him, but for now I'm using one of my Crow drawings to do an etching. Quote:
Thankies! Here's a Viking Nun for all of you! (It's a joke from the Playmobil Playmoboard I once made. I have the Viking Dragon boat by Playmobil, as well as several of the Nun specials. I've replaced the crew with nuns wearing the Viking Helmets, and now they protect the city in the alternate version of my planned book.) -

I take it this nun was chopping wood in the forest and had the helmet on to protect her from falling branches, am I right?

Aiiieeee, a decomposing zombie Viking nun! It's got a very "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" feel to it.

The girl is interesting too. It looks like she doesn't want to speak someone. She haughtily turns her back. To whom, is what I'd like to know.

For my mum's 50th birthday last week I made her a painting:
I put her in the cover of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Obviously, I couldn't just put her in in the drab and shy fashion she always assumes when an autograph is taken from her, so I made her a diva, to fit in with all the celebrities in the background. Apart from Ringo's coat, which should have been a lot brighter and more pinkish -which was a terror to make with acrylics, and even adding aquarel didn't work very well, and I had limited tools and time- I think it looks pretty nice. I think it's striking how well Ringo and George came out, though Paul and John are less convincing. All in all though, a hard day's night.

I've got a little thing again. For my webcomic Captain August (see my sig) I've painted the coming three episodes. Some of the panels have come out really nice and here's one I'd like to share. Some background info: the whole year August is doing a remake of Moby Dick, so our bold captain plays the role of Ahab, and the painted bits are a flashback telling how the infamous wooden peg came to be.
