I'm spoiled, there's a maple stand close to where I live. Hot maple syrup poured on snow = the best candy ever. |

Yeah. Table Syrup, Pancake Syrup, etc. are all names for what's basically flavored corn syrup.

And until they gave her a makeover, it was (and maybe still is) a horrible African-American stereotype. |

When did Aunt Jemima stop looking like a character from Song of the South? I don't buy those products so I was unaware of her makeover until now! |

I still haven't forgiven Kelloggs for renaming "Coco Pops" into "Choco Krispies" for no apparent reason...
...to add to this frustration, I discovered that they are still called "Coco Pops" in France! That's my childhood memories they are messing with there! What if I am talking to my little cousin and she doesn't know what "Coco Pops" are, because they are called "Choco Krispies" these days? Evil! -

And I'm grateful, because "Because we'd rather have a bowl of Choco Krispies!" really didn't fit the tune they've used for years . |

Well, I didn't use the Internet back then. It was several years ago, I believe when I was about 10 years old. 12 years at most. That's 9-7 years ago.
I just keep on calling them Coco Pops, and my sisters and everyone my age knows what I mean by that. Hah! It makes more sense too. After all, the monkey is called Coco, and not Choco. -
