The launch itself was sucsessful

but there have been launches with better games before, Ps2 had GTA3 and SH2, I cant remember whant the original xbox had...was Halo their launch title?

People expect too much from console launches. Developers never get the games to a degree which people immediately expect straight off... PS2 never launched with Shadow Of The Collossus, did it? That would've been truly mind-blowing. People worked within the restraints and limits they could for this launch, although some games coming up like Fight Night, Test Drive and the new Tom Clancy look to be pushing it at least graphically. New technology doesn't immediately mean different gameplay, gameplay is a design issue. Nintendo are addressing that with their console but are pulling back the tech, which is a great idea. But some of us do like our shiny graphics to show off what we spent our money on, and that's not a bad thing. Besides, people know that PDZ isn't a great game... time to move on! The console is out, its launched, new releases are coming up and other games are always announced. Time to move on.

BTW Halo was at least UK Xbox launch title, but it was originally developed for PC. We know that game, despite being a classic now, had a mixed public reception... and it damn sure aint perfect, even if it is fun.

Oh yeah.... I remember PDZ... SJH let me to have a go at it... I remember bitching about something about it in particular... can't remember what, but anyways it was terrible and stupidly difficult.

Go play Dead or Alive 4.
