Default It's getting very cold in here...

Today the temperature dropped under -15 C...
Tomorrow and day after tomorrow the temperature will go down to under -20 C...

And why does it have to be so damn windy now!
Today the wind blowed 7m/s, that's 24 km/h

http://pweb.jps.net/~prichins/windchil.htm
By combining the temperature and the wind speed, today's real temperature was under -30 C!
Holy crap!

Tomorrow if the wind blows with the same speed, it's going to be under -40 C. Oh hell, I really don't want to go outside tomorrow...

I'm getting the feeling that this is something like Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy around here, only thing that's missing anymore is a crazy Shaman coming after me to kill me...

Oh yes I do. 8 AM... but I've been seriously thinking about just sleeping through tomorrow.

Ahhh, have fun! It's fairly warm again in London (for January at least), must be the nice thick blanket of pollution.

It´s reeeally cold now, in Tammisaari, it´s around -20degrees, and I live in the southern-finland, don´t want to think it might feel up norther in Finland...I walked to job today, though it´s not that long, I froze my ass off, really!

If Mira's in Moscow right now, think about what she has to go through...

The weather in Finland is just a continuation of what's been going on in Russia.

It's -25 degrees right now in Vaasa. I'm just glad that there wasn't much wind today, but still that's damn cold, my car almost didn't start at all, I had to do some serious work before the engine started.

I read from the newspaper today that in Siberia people have died because of these extremely cold weathers.

Damn that's cold. It's only -11 degrees here. But it's up to -28 further up.

-68 in Siberia right now. That... that is unimaginable.

I don't want Mira to leave anyhow, but having her leave to that I've half a mind to stop her going!

And here we are, having highs of 30 degrees. This winter has been the hottest in years for us... I can't wait for summer

Maybe it'll be the coldest summer in years.

Jeez, read in the paper this morning that 24 people have died in Russia through exposure to the -31 degree temperatures. Can't even imagine it being that cold

Imagine it? Hell, I've survived Chicago winters like that!

My sympathies, though, to those poor folks in Russia suffering.

If the temperature is still on the 30s, it will be

But that's unlikely, so we will probably be getting highs of around 45

It's unseasonably warm in the midwest now. Feels like pre-spring.

Jeezus Cripes. I've been reading reports firsthand from homeless people being kicked and beaten by police for simply standing under the heating vents of the metro stations for a little warmth. Moscow's utility infrastructures have been succumbing to the frigid temperatures - oil wells have froze, water pipes are bursting, electrically powered trolleys can't run, bank ATMs are malfunctioning.

The most vulnerable - the elderly - are struggling, many of them must head out to get food, and their apartments are often unheated.

Well they can just sit there and... chill out?

Hmm. That was tasteless. I hope the temperatures rise again, and soon ...
