I'm going to be lucky. Last I check it'll be about -20 when I get back. I texted my friend just now and she told me that last night was -30, so that's a good news.

I think I'll be all right though I doubt I'll be getting a goodnight's sleep. Trying my best to warm up the room, though. I found a rag and stuffed it between the gaps in the window. My roommate neglected to shut everything tightly before she left .

What's scary is I keep hearing noises in the next room which is empty...

That might just be the window reacting to the frigid temperatures or something.

Make sure you wear enough layers around the house and have enough blankets in bed. Also keep water in the kettle at all times. Sipping hot broth or tea while doing things is good, and it helps keep your hands warm to hold the cup.

So it's still freezing in Moscow?

The weather has been warming up here and current temperature is -2 degrees. I'm very happy with this result, but I'm sad that the weather in Russia seems to still be so cold.

What is that?

That reminds me of the sensitive poetry of Toni Halme, which I will not speak out loud here... However, if you can understand it, you need to read it. It takes Finnish poetry to the next level.

The temperature has inscreased slightly, though I heard that it's expected to get a lot colder later in the week.

... especially when she discovers that she can't reach a shopping mall in time to return a faulty item in this weather.

Hell hath no fury like a woman at the cash register, returning an item.
