Best Mad Max Movie
Hope this hasn't been done. Be sure to state your case.
I say Thunderdome. No stupid dubbing and a whacked out Tina Turner. Oh yeah, Master Blaster was the bomb. |

My favorite is Road Warrior. I didn't really even like the other two.

When I was in Serbia last year, some of my friends and I rented the Mad Max DVD, and it was my first time seeing it (seen the sequels lots of times before though). It was funny how in language selection, you could select the original Australian accent, or if you selected American, it was Mel Gibson again, doing a voice over in his best US accent. We also tried the German dub, and the German lady voicing his wife sounded real sexy. Anyway, 'twas a great movie.

What a silly poll. It's obviously The Road Warrior, by far. It's not as cheap and simplistic as the original, nor is it as ridiculously cheesy as Thunderdome with Tina Turner and Peter Pan's Lost Boys transferred over into a new story.
EDIT: My gosh artwking...we said basically the same thing. You must have decent taste. Heh. Last edited by Once A Villain; 01-11-2006 at 08:57 AM. |

Oh come on! Tina Turner was kick ass in that movie! So was her little henchman. It had a ton of great characters! The lost boys things was pretty cool too. Come on! Pocky Clypse! It was awesome! You guys suck!

I liked Mad Max 2 a lot. Classic stuff.
I have to say, though, that in the same vibe I have a fondness for Los Angeles 2017. Especially with the insane french dubbing.

The first movie was ok, the second was awesome and the third one sucked, it was just like what sequels usually are. Complete waste of time and money.

Cool Falcons and Monaros aside, the first movie had little to offer. Even the presence of a be-wigged and chainmail-clad Tina Turner couldn't keep the third installment from being a parody of the second movie. It's The Road Warrior for me.
