Really? I suppose everyone has to have a dream, and that one's reasonably achievable. Deloreans haven't appreciated much beyond their original purchase price (about $10,000 US) when corrected for inflation. They use the ubiquitous Peugeot/Renault/Volvo V-6 and a Renault ZF-style transaxle, so mechanical parts should be easy to come by. Delorean farmed out the chassis development to Lotus, so they're typically Lotus underneath (backbone-style frame and reinforced molded fiberglass for the main body structure). They're not blazingly fast, but they handle surprisingly well, considering that the engine hangs out past the rear axle's center line (a la Porsche 911). Their Achilles heel is that all the external body panels are brushed stainless steel, so they only come in bright silver, can't be painted, and every scratch or dent means replacing that particular panel for repair.

Ugh! It looks like somebody stuck bits and pieces of a Delorean body on a Panther Six chassis, thus creating the ultimate hand-built abomination.
I should have said Deloreans can't be painted permanently, as no paint will adhere to stainless steel for very long. Modern epoxy paints will probably stay on better than any others, but sooner or later they'll all peel off.

Really Lacey, Karmillo's right. I post a dissertation on the pros and cons of Delorean ownership and the best you can come up with is "Die thread die"?

Live thread live. (That should help things along )

We need to be more creative do we? Well, here's a poem I performed live at the last Hastings "Word about Town" literary festival. Not one of my more serious works but it was well received.

Trust me, I have a Licence

Can he sing Epithelamian
That sweet ex-choirboy Damian
Or maybe he could tame Ian
The lion, brave chap Damian
His looks aren’t Mediterranean
He’s quite local our Damian
Twin monkeys would be samian
But no monkey is Damian
It’s no good, though try to frame I an
Elegant rhyme for Damian
There’s nothing I can namian
That truly sounds like Damian

Is that creative enough or do you need something more esoteric?

EDIT Yay! Despite her lovely skeleton picture post I'm now ahead of Melanie in post count on this thread.
