Well, if I win I can just go pick the prize up from SJ's house, so I think I should be default winner.

You'll have to get past Mira first. She's very dangerous, I've heard.

None of this will matter, though, for it will be me walking away with the prize.

Ya know, Robbie, I'd rather see you put all this effort and energy into finding yourself a girlfriend. You're a nice looking guy, clever and intelligent, and occasionally witty. You shouldn't have trouble finding someone to go out with. And even though it's close to Christmas, you could still get a date for New Year's Eve.

FGM's right Rob, you should give up on this whole thread winning thing, it's not worth it.

Aw, cheer up matey. This is a great time of year not to have a gf, you can get wasted with your mates with no guilt and you don't end up broke from buying loads of perfume/jewellry/whatever. Here, I'll buy you a pint.

I was actually joking. And I don't drink (don't like the taste). Which, come to think of it, is one reason why I rarely go out.

And now I'm sounding depressingly sad, so let's change the subject, eh?

It's okay, Scott, we'll keep this thread going till you come back! One week or two?

Just five days, Saturday through Thursday.
Glittering neon lights, acres of the gaudiest carpet you've ever seen, the ching-ching-ching of slot machines paying off, endless gourmet buffets, free shows, and the company of a special friend. What more could one want?

To stay with him instead of at a hotel?

Still...it is "The King", and I won't be driving. Hmmm...
Maybe "Elvis-The Musical" (I can't even type that without snickering! ), and drinks afterwards at http://www.renodean.com/carlspub/
About the snow thing- storms come over the Sierra Nevada mountain range and can dump more than a foot of snow at once in that area. My Mom is paranoid that I'll get snowed-in out there, and I hate it when she's right.
