So I went and looked at the skeleton again (it's in the anatomy lab) - the sign says it's male. This is an old skeleton. I won't discount your answer of female because that pelvis looks rounded. I'd want to see a confirmed female macaque skeleton to compare.
And actually, the canines are there. They have 2 incisors then 1 canine on one side. There's a gap between the last incisor and the canine which is what you noticed. It's hard if you've not seen a lot of skeletons. |
