Beer traps are apparently used to catch snails, or so Google tells me.

That reminds me that we have alcoholic ants in our garden. We recently celebrated my father's birthday, and I had the task of fetching the glasses from the garden the next morning. I went into the tent, only to find that dozens of ants were inside a glass of Schnaps, and only two had touched something else (one had tried to get into a bottle of Cola, which was luckily screwed shut tight. Silly ant didn't even try to get into the glasses which had been used to drink Cola. Another ant was way out, trying to get into a bottle of water. Maybe those two ants were already too drunk from the Schnaps. ).

I hope that you didn't remove the ants from those glasses too angrily.

You wouldn't want to antagonise them.

Unless you say that in Spanish, where double negatives are common.

The fact that double negatives are common doesn't mean that they don't cancel each out .
