I'm so nervous about moving into a house with people I've never met!

Anyone have any vital advice to impart regarding being socially retarded at university?

It's not so bad, really. They'll all be new as well, so they'll be just as nervous as you are. University is a learning experience on more than one level.

Hmmm...
Well, a wise person once told me "When you get to the top, act like you've been there before". Once I paraphrased that to "When in a new or uncomfortable situation, act as if it's no big deal and something you do every day", I found that to be quite good advice in general. Once you get to know members of any "in" crowd on a one-to-one basis, you'll find that 90% of them are just as scared and insecure as you are but they're simply more adept at hiding that fact. The other 10% are into their own thing and genuinely, honest-to-God don't care what other people think, and are therefore attractive to the population at large because of their general disinterest in things that don't concern them directly.

Furthermore, I'm sure you'll find after a few days at university that as far as social retardation goes you are not even the tip of the iceberg. Prepare to be both amazed and astonished.
