Yeah, we really can't make coffee in this country, it's just some sludge formed from granules and hot water.
That's why I quit coffee, now each morning I just drink my Bailey's straight.

If you make the same kind of meh coffee as the Irish I can confirm that. On our last holiday trip, the owners of the hotel restaurant and also in charge of breakfast were Irish. The coffee they made were horrible. *shudders* In fact, the entire breakfast was horrible.

*hugs* Thank you, I'm better now. I've realised that it is not meant to be. It will be much cheaper and much more effective if I build my computer myself, and then finally buy the stuff I need to emulate Commodore and AMIGA games. And that way, I also get WinXP. -

Robert is English. We have stiff upper lips and do not cry.
Plus I don't thnk Robert is THAT much into computers that he'd be upset about one risking terrible damage to it's casing by tree-climbing. Quote:
and I happen to have one in the attic (but the sleeker one iwth the nice lines) I also have an Amiga so all my C64/Amiga emulation problems are behind me. Why emulate when you have the real thing? < waggles his joystick.

I still have my AMIGA 500, too. I love it to bits. The problem is not that I can't play the games I have, the problem is I can't play the games I didn't have back then. They can all be downloaded from the web these days, but you need the emulator to run them. The emulator is free, but this one file required for it to work is still copyrighted, and thus costs money. A friend of mine and I had tried to put the files on a floppy and use it in the AMIGA, but we didn't know that PC floppies are different from AMIGA floppies. So that doesn't work. -

it's perfectly natural for one to waggle one's joystick!

The 5.25" disks don't work? I never had an Amiga so I don't know for sure.

The discs are essentially the same, but I think it's the encoding and how it's read that's entirely different. -

The Amiga disk controller is very flexible and can read PC Disks with a program called CrossDos, but only the later Amigas (those that could use higher density disks) can read 1.44M floppies.
