ROFL!!! I would like to see Shaun of the Dead. I'd rather see a zombie movie with a 'comedy' touch rather than a straight horror zombie flick.

Yeah. For other Horror Comedies, check out Peter Jackson's The Frighteners. It's got Michael J. Fox and that guy from the History Channel's "Mail Call"

OK, I can get Firefly for £16.19 over at HMV at the moment, so I'll grab it sometime during the week. It had better be good, though .

Mira's into SOTD and Spaced now I bought her a copy of the film and played her the series.

The rest of the group you mention are famous comedians here in the UK. Spot Little Britain's Matt Lucas at the end aping Nick Frost (who's now got a new sci-fi comedy series called Hyperdrive in the UK which is aces).

Yeah. Though it's £29.99 on the website it's £17.99 in the Oxford store, and I get a 10% discount as a student.

Dammit, I'm going to have to go out and buy it this afternoon before it distracts me too much ...

I reckon I'm the only person at my college who doesn't do rowing.

OK, I have the Firefly DVD now. I'll watch an episode this evening.

:EDIT: Oh, and here's the now-obligatory out-of-focus web-cam shot of me holding said product:

Nah, it's a 4DVD case. Only done properly, so there's actually room for the booklet.

It's called Hyperdrive, and if that's the case you should thank heaven for small mercies.

I've just watched "Serenity" (the episode, not the film ).

I'm sold. I should trust you guys more often, evidently.

Hooray!! I presume that's the opening episode. It's all good!

Hyperdrive wasn't that bad actually, but no better than mediocre - yet. I'll definitely give it another go, but the first episode had that deathly air of "waiting for a funny bit" about it.

It does have some potential, though, and I think comparisons with Red Dwarf are unfortunate but inevitable...

I think my favourite episode is The Train Job. It might be because that's the first one I saw (you know, when it came on tv in a random order), but also because I like how it's quite a simple plot, yet with many facets. It strikes the right mix between drama and humour and menace.

This was just a random message, I guess.
