That's too bad. It had a good rating at rotten tomatoes. Anyway, I love it, and i'm glad we at least got one season and a movie out of it before it died. I hear there are some books as well? I'll have to check them out.

And a tri-part comic-book mini-series that serves as a transitional story between the series and the movie. It's pretty kick-ass. Haven't heard of the books though.

I think the book is more or less a transcript of the movie.

Only two more episodes of Firefly to watch... what will I do while waiting for the Serenity DVD?

On the bright side, I appear to be able to preorder it for £11.95 ...

Yeah it's out on R1, and was just released on R3, but the R2 release (the best one) is coming out in February.

Weeeell... this is interesting, according to dvdcompare.net, The Australian R4 release is going to have couple of extras more than the R2 release.

Quote:
R4 Australia will include some exclusive Australian bonus features.
These include 'A Filmmakers Journey'; 'Joss Whedon Q & A Session' (filmed at Sydney's Fox Studios); 'Extended Scenes' and 'The Green Clan', a featurette on 'cinematographer Jack Green'
A Filmmakers Journey is the one that R1 release doesn't have, R2 will have that and now also R4 will have that, but that Green Clan featurette is something completely new.

Why so much differences between region releases, this is frustrating...

To hell with this, I'm sticking with R2. If I miss out on a handful of extras, so be it ...

Nope, Australia is R4.

There are some releases that are both R2 and R4, but not every dvd is.
