Default New Game Released: the white chamber

Hi Everyone,

Our debut game the white chamber is now online for free download from our website: Studio Trophis
The games is 306mb, and requires that you use a bittorrent client for the download. (This is so we can control the bandwidth usage for such a large release)

It's a sci-fi horror game that uses anime styled graphics, includes some beautifully hand animated cutscenes, incredibly atmospheric music and hopefully some interesting puzzles.

It's taken about a year of production time now, including us originally writing our own engine and then porting over to WME when I realised how incredible a job Mnemonic has done. It's been a lot of work and we're glad to finally be able to present the finished work to you all.

Sounds very interesting, I'm going to give it a try. And thanks for making it available for free!

Wow, the description and screenshots look amazing. I'm loving the art style!

Hopefully somebody can send me the file somehow after they are done downloading. In the past month, my campus has blocked virtually all download clients, so I can't use BitTorrent anymore.

I'm sure it's only a coincidence that you only have one post and just joined today.

Hopefully the game is good enough that we don't have to generate fake praise for it. ^_^

Hehe, sorry FOV, I just had to say something. I'm not trying to be mean or anything. Actually, I posted about this game on another adventure forum that I'm a mod for. It looks pretty promising.

Anyways, while I'm making a new post, I might as well make my desperate plea again.

Hopefully somebody can send me the file somehow after they are done downloading. In the past month, my campus has blocked virtually all download clients, so I can't use BitTorrent anymore.

Sorry, I can't do anything with a file that big. (Except download it myself, of course.)

If I can get BitTorrent working for me again, I can send it to you through AIM as soon as I've got it.

I'll give it a shot after school. The art looks interesting enough; let's just hope the gameplay backs it up.

I can put it up on my server for you to download if you want. It'll take some time, as my upload speed ain't all that, but you'll be able to download it quickly when i've finally gotten it up there.

2 hours, 51 minutes download time remaining, so let me know if you want it.

Thanks for the help. I guess it could work over AIM. That way you don't have to upload anything. We'll see how fast the transfer speed is. If that doesn't work out we could always use http://www.yousendit.com/ (though it will take quite a few hours to upload).

The problem with AIM and MSN and such is that the sends/downloads usually aren't peer-to-peer, meaning the overworked aim server slows it down quite alot. I'll let you know when I've got it up on my server, then you can download it if it's still an issue.

^ That would be great. Thank you guys for trying to help me out. Most people at other forums wouldn't be this generous.

NO FAIR!#@$

1 hour till I'll have the game downloaded, but then I'll have to upload it aswell. I'll just have to get you distracted somehow. Don't worry. I'll find a way. Where do you live? Heh.

One hour? I'm at two hours, thirty seven minutes! High speed DSL ain't worth a darn if your router is hooked up to an ancient Windows 98 Compaq downstairs.

And I like flowers, if you'd like to try.

BitTorrent speed is based mostly on the number of people who are seeding. Even if you have a fast connection, it can go slow if you can't connect to enough seeds.

It downloads at about this same speed even when I'm not using BitTorrent. Though it actually seems to be running a bit faster than normal at the moment. Odd, that.
