Has anyone played the game 5 days a stranger? I need some help. I'm on day tree and trying to get into the locked room between the library and Defoe's bedroom. I need to saw down the tree to get in from the window. The saw won't work on the tree even when I ask Jim to help?

According to the official walkthrough/FAQ:

"You need a partner. Phil is being unhelpful and Simone is too busy, which leaves just one other available pair of hands. He's in the library, and all you need to do is ask."

But I guess this is what you have done and it still isn't working ?

If so, try the usual things like exhausting all conversation items with all people etc.

Also, try getting out onto the window ledge first and going as far you can there - this may trigger the Jim part.

If you are still struggling, send me your savegame and I'll have a go at completing that section for you and send you the savegame back again so you can continue...
