Default Unofficial Kings Quest IX - Positions available

Hello there!

My name is Alex Saunders and I'm a PR Assistant with the Unofficial King's Quest IX Team. King's Quest IX: "Every Cloak Has a Silver Lining" is an unofficial fan-designed adventure game, based on Sierra On-Line's King's Quest series. It centres on the adventures of the royal family of the Kingdom of Daventry, and combines memorable characters, often mind-bending puzzles, great storylines, and fun gameplay. Most of the puzzles and many of the characters are inspired by myth and folklore, making the games easy to enjoy for anyone who plays them.

We are currently on the look out for talented individuals who may be able to fill the positions listed below:
  • 2D Artists - Depending on which role you apply for your duties will basically be to Sketch or colour characters or backgrounds in the game. A pre-requirement for Colourists is that you must be able to emulate a hand-painted look.
  • 3D Artist - 3D Artists are responsible for the modelling, texturising or animating of characters or backgrounds. A pre-requirement for this position is that Modellers must have experience in low poly modelling.
  • PR Assistant - PR Assistants will be expected to carry out Research, promote the project, and act as a liaison or staff representative between the KQIX team and the world. Some forum moderation is also expected of PR Assistants. A pre-requirement of this position is to have proof of large-scale user communication such as being a long-standing member or moderator of a forum in the form of URLs, chat logs, e-mails etc.
  • Web Designer - We are looking for a creative professional Web Designer to take care of updates, promotions, and any other material designs to do with the kq9.org website. As proof of your skills we will need to see sample urls of previous projects.
  • Web Programmer - Web Programmers would be expected to create, update and modify web content for the kq9.org site. For example from images to text or Flash to web support. Knowledge of HTML language is required for this position as well as sample urls of previous projects.
  • Web Media Programmer - Web Media Programmers would be expected to Create, update and modify flash content for the kq9.org site. For example from animations to ActionScript. Knowledge of flash programming is a pre-required skill for this position. We also ask that you provide samples of previous work showcasing your talents.

Since this is a fan-game and will be completely free to download when completed, all positions are unpaid and purely voluntary. This also means that we require people who are creative, hard working, dedicated and motivated. Prospective applicants should keep in mind that there are weekly assignments and deadlines. Communication by e-mail and MSN Messenger is required.

This is an excellent way to gain work-related experience and add to your resume, all within the comfort of your own home! If you would like to join the KQ9 team, please go to: http://www.kq9.org/join now!

Thanks for your attention
