The current games in progress list is depressing, because it's been the same titles for years

I'm not sure if there's a point in listing all "add-ons" - there are literally hundreds of them.
As for remakes, I remember there was one released for Maniac Mansion in 2008 (and 2 more MM remakes are in the works - one in 3D, the other with DOTT style graphics).

Would you say that the games I mentioned in the original post are the biggest productions and most well known freeware remakes (or add-ons) of adventure games?
If there is any other specific games (in progress or not) that you feel are worth checking out - feel free to link them. Ascovel, you seem to think that there are some worth checking out? Please link your favorite! Meanwhile I'm still waiting for the English voice packs for Zak McKracken - Between Time and Space (fixed link) and Broken Sword 2.5 |

I usually don't play neither remakes nor fan sequels, but I would recommend the recent point & click remake to The Htichhiker's Guide To The Galaxy. http://h2g2remake.wordpress.com/
It's special in the sense that the original was a (very abstract) text game, so the creator of the remake had to interpret everything, come up with a fitting soundtrack and visual style etc. Also, to deal with puzzles so that they would work with a very different interface.

That was the first adventure game I ever saw. My dad had it on our Apple II and I was pretty young at the time. I could never get past the bulldozer. (I've since then looked at how to do it via internets a couple years back)

One remake I have been waiting for quite awhile and seems near completion is King's Quest IV: Perils of Rosela.
Magic Mirror Games is behind this, http://www.mmgames.org/KQ4/ |

I would like to take this moment to remind people of the fanmade LOOM sequel FORGE, by our team at Quill o' the Wisp.
Forge Website: http://forge.freeiz.com/ I had a topic ages ago, I think it got eaten by the board. |

The topic will still be there somewhere. If you can't find it, then it's probably because the default search only looks back a limited amount of time.
Still a good-looking project and I'm glad to hear it is still alive.
