Announcing The Curves of Danger - A ForeverDream Studios Production
FOREVERDREAM STUDIOS
DUBLIN 18th DECEMBER 2003 So it begins… I am most proud to announce the culmination of the work of ForeverDream over the past 18 months, the project previously known as “Genesis” and herein unveiled as The Curves of Danger, a noir adventure game of class, style, and oddball humour. The Curves of Danger tells the story of Phil, a down on his luck private eye thrown into a plot of mystery, suspense, and fruitcake. Drawn to the imposing Adventure Gamers mansion to investigate the murder of their writer in residence, the ubiquitous Quiff, Phil will encounter femme fatale, henchmen, evil geniuses and dry martinis. Using the Wintermute graphics engine, The Curves of Danger will authentically use a noir setting of black and white, and will feature a foreboding jazz score from emerging musician Eirik Myhr. The Curves of Danger will be launched episodically, prior to which a teaser demo will be released in the first quarter of 2004. A mini site is in the works, so watch this space! In the interim, please visit the flash teaser, located at www.foreverdreamstudios.com, for audio, backgrounds and script excerpts. “Just when you think things are as bad as they can possibly get…they can always get worse.” – Phil, The Curves of Danger

I checked the teaser, it looks promising, especially the music is awesome.
I hope the plot isn't based on community in-jokes alone, though. In that case, I guess it won't appeal to a newbie like me.

Wow, that teaser had style!
But why is the Femme Fatale called Tamara? Did you never consider the feministic fatlity of a luscious vixen named "Geir"? |

Very atmospheric.
The screenshots remind me of Grim Fandango. Extremely good music as well. Looking forward to the teaser demo.

I create. Therefore I am.

It looks really good! The music is a bit inspired by Grim Fandango, or what?
Good luck with the game!

no the music is inspired by noir film and jazz, and can be juxtaposed with grim fandango in that regard.

Wow, that looks pretty neat. I like the fact that you're doing it in black and white, and the music is good, too. Looking forward to it with much glee.
