I'm very happy with this news! I really enjoyed The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition and having the opportunity to play a Special Edition of the 2nd game is just great!

awesome!! it lacks a bit of the magic, especially in the color schemes and grittiness of the original look. it's just a bit too smooth and round looking, but it's a damn exciting nonetheless.
i can only hope this is lucasarts' way of testing the water for new AGs |

Amazing!
I greatly enjoyed SoMI:SE, though it had some small faults. But, at least at first glance, it appears as though LucasArts has listened to its fans and has addressed many of the issues that people complained about. The backgrounds are true to the original. Guybrush's hair is less funky. Voices are included in the original version. The interface will be more streamlined (or so they say). But what I'm most excited about are the commentaries! That's awesome! Has that ever been done in a computer game before? I'd love to see more special editions, from LucasArts and other companies too. Very exciting!!!! |

BeST NeWS eVeR!! Coming from a PS3-only gamer, you can understand my elation.
Is there any chance that Revolution will follow suit with Broken Sword DC? Last edited by taurus82; 03-11-2010 at 01:49 AM. |

This is so awesome! I can see that the artstyle has improved a lot which I am excited for and most importantly voice acting in classic mode! So if I get disgusted by the lazy style I can always switch and enjoy the original
Largos voice acting better be good! |

MI2 still looks gorgeous, it's incredible how little had to be done to ensure the new visuals are faithful to the source material.
Voice-over in the classic mode - yay. I wish they would patch that feature in as far as the remake of the original is concerned. |

I'm looking forward to being able to download the first instalment from Telltale's store too. I've never been a fan of Steam so this is extremely good news.

I'm really excited for this, the only thing that bothered me in the first one were the controls, I hope they improve that.

You gotta give props to LucasArts for doing these remakes the right way - in full, hand-drawn 2-d frame by painstaking frame!! THAT's art for you.
Looks incredible. They're really taking care with everything - even the cute flash site. The whole thing just reeks of classic adventure game class all the way. I'm hyped! |

I too would love to see Broken Sword get ported to 360/PS3. Too bad Revolution is spending all their time complaining about how it would be too much work to convert the backgrounds to HD. It's a complete BS excuse and hopefully, as they realize how much opportunity their missing out, on they'll wise up and make a proper HD quality version of BS 1 & 2. |
