If it's for kids above the age of 10, try the popular Nancy Drew games, yet another series I grew up with. The recent titles have been sub-par, but you can't go wrong with ones like Treasure in a Royal Tower or Danger on Deception Island. You need not be female, a child, nor a Nancy Drew fan to enjoy them, in my opinion.
