Default Edna&Harvey: The Breakout

I was looking for news about Edna&Harvey and found a review on adventurecorner.de: http://www.adventurecorner.de/reviews.php?id=126
They gave it 87% and they say that it's the "suprise hit 2008 so far".
Has the game found a publisher outside Germany already? When will it be released in English? I haven't found any information about that on the website of the game.

Is Edna & Harvey the game Jan Müller-Michaelis from Daedalic spoke about in the AG interview?
Quote:
For my diploma thesis, I independently designed and co-programmed a complete adventure game that includes 30 characters, complete voice-overs, 120 screens and 30-plus hours of playtime. It will probably see release in the not too distant future...
Even though I'll wait for more reviews before getting too excited, it already looks impressing for a diploma game, if it is one.

Here's our game info page (scroll down for the news items about it) and like AFGNCAAP said, it's the same one that was mentioned in the AG interview.

I don't think there is any specific news about an English market release yet.

Hi there!

It's true, we're receiving very good reviews for Edna&Harvey ("Edna Bricht Aus") in Germany: 88% on 4players.de, 88% on spieletipps.de, 93% gamona.de ("...game of the year") and unbelievable 9.9/10 on gamigo.de. We knew that Edna is a cool game but honestly - we didn't expect that the game will be rated so high. In my eyes, Edna is the proof that graphics are only a minor thing in adventure games, and that story, puzzle design and humor are much more important.

Anyway, we are still looking for a partner for Edna&Harvey in English speaking territories. In other words: No release date yet, sorry.

Hi Olli!

Is there a demo of the game available? Either German or English?

Yes, there will be a German demo. It's going to be released in few weeks.

I gasped when I saw this box cover. I'd love another Edna game! But I'm not so sure it isn't one of Daedalic's hoaxes. I listened to adventuretreff's recording of Poki talking about the Edna sequel. He was being mysterious and joking a lot, but my German is not really up to that kind of conversation among four or five guys, so I may have misunderstood the gist of what he said about Harvey's new eyes. And about Deponia as well. Is Daedalic really looking for a publisher?

He was only joking, because it's too early to give out details.

And it's true, Daedalic is still looking for a publisher.

Like he talked about it in the podcast, it sounds like some kind of spin-off. Hm, we'll see.

Now it is official. Daedalic and Rondomedia bring the game 2011 and yes it is a spin-off.

YES! Edna rules. Harvey rules. I'm a little worried that a spin-off will not be as good as the first game, but as long as I can meet that crazy pair again I'm not complaining.

Edna & Harvey is coming in mid-January 2011 in the UK, and Lace Mamba should have it up for download around then, too.

A New Beginning is, I think, listed for early-mid 2011, possibly between March and May. I can't remember off the top of my head, though, but it's certainly listed on Amazon UK for release in the first half of 2011.
