I'm also interested in Belief and Betrayal, but so far haven't found out very much about it. I really am happy to read that it is in third person!

The game appears to be out in Europe but is going for a first quarter 2008 release for N. America.
Here's the game info page. Scroll down for links to news items and a developer diary as well. |

Out in Europe?? Where?
I haven't come across it anywhere online either... I thought it had been pushed to mid 2008!

It's been out in non-English markets for a while now (German speaking countries, at least, maybe others). You'll still have to wait for the English version, though.

Yeah, please keep spoilers out of here, or at least use spoiler tags... I'd also like to hear impressions of this game, how good is it? I've waited this game for very long and it seems to have great ingredients for good adventure game and story.

I just started playing it so I can't comment on the story or puzzles.
What I can say is that the dialogue is pretty bad and cliched... Also the voice acting isn't that impressing. I noticed that the conversations go too fast...there's hardly any pause between the lines of each character... Basically I get a "bad" vibe from this game from the start... The overall quality reminds me of oparation:wintersun, which isn't that good... but maybe it's still too early to judge. I'll post a comment here when I finish it.

Got the game for Christmas as well, and I get what you mean about 'bad vibes' from the start. I don't wanna be too pessimistic, but when I first heard main character speak I thought instantly of 'male version of Nina from Tunguska'; he just seems to be that annoying...and he desperately tries to be funny, which he is not. I hate it when I find main character annoying as I like to relate...
Ok, enough moaning! At the very beginning as well, maybe it'll surprise me and if it's even decent I'll enjoy the game...very few adventure games out there I didn't enjoy at all.

That's the spirit. Basically, I feel the same way. And that is something unique to the adventure game genre for me. With other genre's I sometimes find nothing to enjoy about a game. For some reason with adventure games I always enjoy the game at least a little, even when it is obviously crap. I don't know why this is so. It just is.

Agreed with everything you said Jellyfish. If I speak badly of some adventure game, that doesn't mean game isn't enjoyable generally, but just on AG standards -- compared to other adventure games. For example I spoke badly of Operation Wintersun...but I still had fun with the game and enjoyed it.
Even a bad adventure game can be enjoyable experience. There's something about the genre indeed; the standard of games so, that even the bad are good. Guess we just love the genre and solving puzzles so much.

Well, I've run out of AG's to play.
Just sitting around waiting for next year to come and with it all those new exciting adventure games I'm still looking forward to this one though, even some have spoken ill about it. Why? Mainly because I like the story and screenies and it's in 3rd person view

I ALMOST finished it, but I totally gave up in the end.. I was like.. 5 lines from the end (go walkthroughs..). It must have been a bug or something.
But overall I'd give it a 4/10..can't really put my finger on the things I didn't like.. just an overall bad experience for my part.

The game SUCKS BIG TIME!
- graphics are hardly digestable - the voiceover's are terrible - characters have no personality - the puzzles are one of the worst I've ever seen - the story perhaps had potential, but they f***ed it up I was really looking forward to playing this game, when it was first announced, but as soon as I finished chapter I, I had to go for the walkthrough, because it was totally unpleasant to play and I wanted to finish it as soon as possible. |

What's wrong with the graphics?
The screenshots look nice enough. |
