Default Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

Hi everyone!

I don't know if this has been done before, but i've decided to start a thread about this cracking game. Someone did the same thing recently about The Dig (which seems to have mysteriously disappeared from these forums ) so i thought i'd do something similar.

I got into this game late as i bought it from ebay about a couple of months ago. I'd heard good reviews about it and at £30 i couldn't really complain considering how old it is. I've been at it for a while means i've been coming off it and going back to it quite a bit as well as playing other games. I have to say it's one of the most enjoyable adventure games i've played in a while. I think it's the first adv. game i've played which has replayability - being able to choose from 3 seperate paths which all join together at the end.

Whilst the graphics are obviously dated now on PC, i found they looked pretty good on my PSP so i've been playing it on that. I had no choice but to play the Fists path on PC cuz the controls aren't mapped out for the fighting on the PSP. I'm also happy that i never used a walkthrough whilst playing this game. Well, except for in Crete when trying to find the Moonstone but that's about it.

So, what does everyone else think about this game? Opinions, thoughts and stories aplenty please.

It hasn't. Check the display options at the bottom of the adventure forum thread list, you probably have it set to only show the last two weeks of threads or something.

There's quite a lengthy post-play conversation in this thread*.

* I'm not doing that to burst your bubble, just an FYI.

Oh, there it is, thanks Dale. It was set to last month. It was a bit strange cuz whenever i typed it in the Search Forums box it said it couldn't find any matches.

Slow down! You can play these old adventure games on the PSP? I'd heard about playing some games on the DS, but not PSP. Where can I learn more? And what other games can I play on it?

Don't worry about it. The forums are a big place. We all get a bit lost sometimes.

As for the game, I like the three paths approach. Gave the game a lot of replayability knowing there is a big part where the puzzles will be different. That said, I only ever tried the Wits path. Maybe it's time I loaded the game up again.

The whole thing very much had the feel of the movies as well which is always good when something plays on an established licence people are familiar with.

A thread most controversial, that’s what I want to start
Full of impassioned arguments, of posting from the heart
And for this stimulation all will be thankful to me
On come on everybody it won’t work if you agree
