Adventure Game Series
I was just wondering if people could list Adventure Games that have more than one part and what they are called? I hate the feeling of accidently playing a sequel (and sometimes even a remake) when there's a game before it that I didn't know about. I'd purchased 'Day of the Tentacle' years ago and didn't even know about 'Maniac Mansion' until after I'd reached Ed's computer ingame. I wish I'd played it before-hand.
Example of complete series list: Gabriel Knight - Sins of the Fathers Gabriel Knight 2 - The Beast Within Gabriel Knight 3 - (Can't actually remember what it's called) A list of EGA, VGA, and remakes are also appreciated. And from reading these threads, I'm assuming that 'Dreamfall' is the sequel to 'The Longest Journey'? Or am I all mixed up? |

You are correct in saying Dreamfall is the sequel to The Longest Journey. Other series Space Quest I: The Sarien EncounterThose are the ones that I can immediately think of. Hopefully someone else will come up with others (and correct any errors in mine)

Thank you for the lists! These are exactly what I was looking for!
Oops, I'd accidently played Tex Murphy:Overseer without playing any of the others before it. Was it only a rumour that there's a Space Quest 7? |

Uru wasn't actually part of the 'main' Myst series, which is why subsequent games were called 'Myst IV' and 'Myst V' rather than 'Myst V' and 'Myst VI'. Uru was a spin-off which became a series in its own right (can't remember what order the games came in, though).
