So is this enough to make a decision? Almost ten people are interested in TLJ, and about five are OK with the proposed schedule. And we have three semi-engaged playthrough leaders.

Anyone against?

I'm okay with the schedule! Some weeks I will have a lot of time, but after about halfway through I won't have too much so longer is better for me...

Who wanted to lead the playthrough? I know there were at least two other people who offered...

Just great that my XP machine got a virus and despite healing that my OS has various issues, one of which is I can't install/uninstall anything.

Having an XP machine is so critical to playing older games. I don't know what I'd do without it.

I hope to participate in this playthrough...

I'd like to help if I can. And 7h30n had a hand to lend in the coming weeks, I gather.

A good point! Maybe I should make sure I can get the game running before I make any promises.

If no one objects, I'll create the first post tomorrow morning and we'll get this thing started.

It's not a DOS game.

I tried it earlier today on that OS (Steam version of the game), it seems to work fine.

(I'm unsure I'll actually have time to join the playthrough, but it can't hurt to install it.)

Oh, already? That's great. I just remembered I have the collector's edition of Dreamfall, which is bundled with a DVD version of TLJ, so I might go for that instead. At least until I get hold of an XP computer to run the old 4-disc version. It's not going to feel the same without the Swedish voice-overs though.

The 4 disc version runs fine on my Win7 64-bit. You might need to drop the DLLs form the demo in the installed folder.

Thanks Collector. I'm having those lag issues that a few people have reported at TLJ's forums. Those DLLs didn't help either. No files were over-written, were they supposed to?.

I just wasn't in the mood for an extensive trouble-shooting session at the moment, so I wanted to wait until I'd at least tried the DVD version. Also, I'm fairly sure I can get hold of an older computer soon-ish.

Any chance of Dreamfall for the next playthrough? I'd really like to get stuck into it after TLJ.

errr... anyone interested in a new playthrough?

I see the custom here is to play classics, which is fine by me. As for the new games, maybe A Vampyre Story would be nice - prequel is coming so it could be interesting to play it
