I just finished it yesterday.
I wanted it to be another rare adventure I could play without help from a walkthrough, but I failed at the boat:

Spoiler:
I'd never guess you could use the wine bottles on the sign to your sleeping room. Am I the only one missing this logic?

The story started out nicely, but became totally bullocks.
Spoiler:
With the aliens and old Spanish boat it became totally stupid, no logic. I think it would have been best if they kept it simple and just let you stay at the island the whole time. Also, as a physics graduate, Brian defies all physical laws.

I played the english version with dutch subtitles. This translation has clearly been done quick & dirty, as the translator didn't care about the context, and just literally translated everything like a bad web translation page.

THe last sequence in the spanish boat was nice though, as a self containg chapter it ranks among the best chapters, with excellent puzzles.

But like every quest point and click you can play without understand the story.
This is far and away my favorite statement of the day...

Geez! I'm been disconnected from the adventure commnunity, I knew the game had been out for a while, but not THIS long!

Anyway, I got it this week and beat it, and... It's definitly better than the first, but...
Spoiler:

-Half of the stuff I do don't make sense, and I have no idea why I'm doing it...

-The ending, it wasn't bad, but I hate the fact that it doesn't end here and that I have to wait for the sequel

-The new "intelligence" in the game, if you find a key you won't pick it up until you find a locked door.

The good things were:

-The humor, I can't believe I liked the humor almost as much as Sam & Max!

-The hint system!

-The Spanish version came with the first game and only costs 20€!

I didn't know there was an 'Intelligence' or a 'Hint' System. LOL!

The humour? The reviews I've read say that the humour is really immature and aimed at teenagers. I thought the first game was a bit soft and mellow in its humour, missing an adult edge or something, which Sam & Max definitely does have. I hope you're right, because otherwise the game looks like a good one.
