Nice coffee table.

Good idea about getting them laminated. They won't fit in the box anymore, but they can be put on your wall.

Hmm, I love paintings, usually go for classic prints, but this has got me thinking of having something from Myst on my living room wall...

No, I just put them into comic bags / backing boards. Keep 'em nice.

It IS a sweet coffee table. It's my parents.

That LE version looks very handsome and elegantly designed. Hope you enjoy it.

The second disc in the DVD case is the Magnet EP. Apparently, according to a press release on the Funcom site, both the Magnet EP and the full Dreamfall soundtrack were supposed to be available for individual purchase already, from the Funcom shop. Since they're not, I assume they're still in the works but will hopefully be released soon.

I understood it, but I've been raised by a grammaraddict so it's not so strange..

Yeah, when I finally got it, I edited my post. I missed an apostrophe to indicate possession. LOL... I won't point out all the grammatical mistakes, of much worse calibre, made by others in this thread.

Well, I try to focus on what people want to say instead of pointing out their mistakes.

Heh, yeah. In the meantime, let's discuss the LE more!

I love that art book to death. I really wish it was in a nice, large proper art book format. Would anyone feel cheated if Funcom re-released the art book in a regular version? I probably would, a bit, but I'd quickly get over it just because I'd be so glad to be able to buy it nice and large.

The game manual is kind of cheap, don't you think? I assume it's the same as the regular edition. The print quality is kind of poor. My favourite game manual of recent years is LucasArts' Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. BEAUTIFUL game manual.

I wish that the LE had been a package instead of a DVD slipcase. The perfect package would have included a nice, big 2-piece box of the same design as the current DVD slipcase. Inside the box would be the DVD case with DVD inside, a separate regular jewel case for the Magnet EP, another separate regular jewel case with the complete soundtrack, and a large-sized art book instead of the DVD-sized one we have now.

There's just something special about opening a BOX.

I suppose this is all old territory but having just FINALLY received the game, I'm still all excited about it. I'm not complaining by any means. I think it's pretty cool that we even got a Dreamfall LE.

Just thinking about LEs generically... I know there was some discussion of this before, but what have other LEs for other games included? What stuff do you think should be included in an adventure game LE package? What kind of packaging should be used?

On another subject, does anyone have Prima's Dreamfall guide? Is it worth getting? Does it have any extras in it?

Yeah. The way you have to crease one of the flaps in order to actually get the box open really adds something to the quality and value of the game .

But seriously, I'd be perfectly happy with the slipcase if only it was the right size. By which I mean that the book and the DVD case should have been the same height, and then the slip case should have fitted neatly around them. That would prevent both the box creasing that I've suffered and also the fact that the box leans at one angle when the book and case are in it, because the book is far heavier than the case .

Other than that I'm entirely happy, mind you .

Well, that's not the fault of the slipcase. That's the fault of the book. The book should have been made to the height of the DVD case. The slipcase is almost perfect for the DVD case. However, you also have to deal with a publisher's available sizes. It all comes down to, again, that I wouldn't have chosen to put them in a slipcase. I don't know why you're having balance problems? The book is heaver, but mine stands quite straight.

Which is why I specifically said a 2-piece box. A box with a lid that simply lifts off the box. Like the old Sierra boxes (except not the same size, obviously).
