Yep, Blackstone Chronicles - decent story with a real sense of horror coming from the poor patients and the abuse (seeing the 'treatments' together with the journal entries manages that; feel so sorry for a bunch of video game characters ). Pretty good guessing yourself!

Ha! It wasn't too hard of guessing, since it is one of my favorite adventure games, just as the other one I guessed. lol I'll have to pick a harder picture, I should have it up by tonight.
