A Vampyre Story? (I really should get round to playing that! ) Cursor looks pretty much the same, just looks a little more concept art there than final screenshot.

I'm pretty sure I'm wrong, but it's not Runaway 2 is it?

The irritating thing is that the screenshots look so familiar.

Was guessing based on the bat bones, and as Jadefalcon said, CMI art style. Probably not best idea It's Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine.

heh yes nice work

they were intentionally a little more atypical locations and scenes from the game, as other characters or locations and graphic from the town would probably give it away easier

Is it from The Mystery of the Druids?

Thanks! Now, just to be sneaky again, here are two more paintings from two different games. To avoid the confusion from last time, you now need to correctly identify both games!

Painting 1 (the easier one ):

Painting 2:

What exactly are the odds of two different game designers, who don't know each other, using the same painting...?

The first one is obviously from The Lost Crown. But don't tell me the second one is again from Outcry, that would be too much of a coincidence.

The first pic is indeed from The Lost Crown (Tree of Crows, supposedly by Nicolas Gurney ) but this time, the second pic is not from Outcry.

(As a side note, I was never able to find the original photo/painting of the two priests/monks/nuns admiring the sunrise/sunset which inspired the ones in The Lost Crown and Outcry (For those who don't know or remember what I'm referring to, check out this post.) Maybe Jonathan Boakes can shed some light on this? )

First is from "Lost Crown", what a surprise I knew that, and the other from "Darkness Within".

Yes, he probably can. Why don't you ask him? The Crown and the Darkness were released in the same year, so maybe the original painting got a lot of attention in 2008 or in the previous year.

* to Fantsie* Yes, you're right on both counts, what a surprise. Of course, a kind, generous, handsome benefactor is indirectly responsible for you knowing the second pic, isn't that right??? Your turn, Fantsie!

I actually know this one too , but to guess so quickly after all that prodding to post a new pic would just be mean . Someone else can have this one... besides, I don't have a new pic ready anyway!

Dang it! lol Yes. I wanted to get a screenshot of Metiphisto's shoes in that scene, and ended up getting that. For some reason, I can't use YAFSScreen in that game. But yes, Andrea, you're correct.
