Default Game Titles

The Mystery of the Druids
The Moment of Silence

Do you ever intend to make a game that isn't called The X of Y?

On a more serious note, at what stage in the production process do you look at the title of the game? Is it something that you consider to be particularly important? Do you keep changing it (in which case, do tell us some of the earlier titles)? And do you feel that titles should be descriptive, 'snappy' (as in to the point), or a mixture of the two?

I don't think so.

Well, a title is something that you either immediately have or have to think about hard for a long, long time. Often, a great title is there, but then you find out that you can't use it for legal reasons.

BTW, Mystery of the Druids is a title that CDV gave the game. They had the contractual right to do that.

Moment of Silence is our title. We now make contracts wherein
title issues require our approval.

It's going to be a tennis game and the title will be: The Mystery of the Silent Tennis Court.

Seriously though, The Moment of Silence is a great name. Btw, who actually came up with the name? Was it a particular person who just came up with it like that, or was it more like a group effort in a brain storming session?

ha ha ha That was good....

Smart on the title control, there are those who have a passion for changing any and all titles that come under their publishing eyes.

Looks like TAC won't be in the running then!!!
They'll probably want to call it "Moment", just so all you North Americans can understand it...

I can't believe I am just giving TAC ideas FOR FREE - I must be mad...

Just add © 2004 by timcclayton to all your suggestions and you might end up as a millionaire

It will be very difficult to persuade us to accept another title.

A title is a trademark and integral part of an intellectual property, and we're not going to have weakened or destroyed something that we own and believe in.

HoT enforces title control with hockey sticks.

Ever heard of Olaf Kölzig?

Ask Kolzig about him. He'll probably talk his ass off

Care to explain what is Indoor Hockey?

I know the sport for Real Men, floorball, but I have never heard of indoor hockey? At least I think that I haven't.

Yeah sorry, looks like my knowledge of English is too limited.

It's when you play hockey in a gymnasium. (Is that the word? I think so. Strangely enough, in German Gymnasium means High School).
