Default Your favorites

Hi, Martin. I was wondering what some of your favorite adventure games are, story driven or otherwise? Which games would be standouts for you in terms of thinking, "what a great experience!", and solidified and affirmed your commitment to the genre?

Thank you for being here.

Hey Marian.

you mean my personal all-time fav's?

The Day of the Tentacle is the funniest and most ingenious game I have ever played.

Beneath A Steel Sky is really cool. (Wonderful title, too.)

The Longest Journey has wonderful dialogue.

Zork: Grand Inquisitor is very funny and has some brilliant puzzles.

I loved the first Myst for being so surreal and anti-climatic.

Well. Just to name a few. There are more.

I still want to know what they're planning on calling the sequel, though. Beneath a Steel Sky 2, or Steel Sky 2 both sound pretty strange to me. As does something like Beyond a Steel Sky...

And it's nice to see a favourite games list that doesn't automatically have to feature Grim Fandango. Even if I think that Grim is an excellent game...

Have you ever played The Last Express? If so, what did you think of it? Just thinking that it is one of the most original games when it comes to gameplay and game dynamics.

So true. I'm also eagerly awaiting the official name announcement.

Hi Martin,

That's a great list of games---looks like I need to play Day of the Tentacle, and soon---that's one that I haven't played as yet.

Best wishes; it's been great having you here. And a big thank you to you and House of Tales for creating The Moment of Silence for us to play, ponder, and appreciate; I really look forward to it.

Take care.
