Is it possible to play older games on W7?

I would like to replay Riven, but it's a W95 game, so I guess it will not install and play without a patch or something. (No, I haven't tried ).

I assume that others out there have the same problems with other games, so how to solve this? I do not want to install anything that f*cks up other applications/games/installations om my PC.

I've experienced almost no problems with older games on Windows 7, much less than on Vista anyway.
I suggest you at least try to install and run it as it is and see if there even is a problem

if don't have luck you can download it from gog.com (good old games site) I think it's $5.00 it has been changed to run under vista & win 7
