Paradise 1.1 French2English Patch

The US version of Paradise 1.1 Patch "is in development", the French gamers already have it installed. Unfair? Yes.

I've ported the French patch to the English version of Paradise. Now you can enjoy (almost) all bugfixes introduced in French 1.1 patch - in your English version of the game! (Obviously I could not backport the core-changes to the exe-file - it's StarForce protected)

By reading the patched scripts I concluded that a whole lot of conversations, npc-walkpaths, animations and quests have been fixed. I also applied my own patch to be able to skip rendered cutscenes by pressing ESC. And finally you can disable the animation of the cursor in "options".

Download the installer (that's right, no command-line or drag-and-replace) and simply install it. It should automatically detect your Paradise path (correct it if it doesn't). Now, if you think you don't like it, or the official patch has been released - just uninstall the patch - as simple as that.

Now, I obviously had no time to play through the whole game to ensure the stability of this patch - I'll do ASAP - but I did my best to implement the backup function into the patch uninstaller. If you encounter any problems - just uninstall it.

PS: I put a lot of effort into this one, please post comments, requests etc. There is no malware attached - I can post the diffs, NSIS installer scripts and opk file reader source.

Yeah, I was going to say that it was just typical that it was released after you had put your effort into converting the French patch.

Yeah, kinda frustrating. I'll probably keep on playing around with it, there are a few "cheat" features I could unlock and some not yet fixed bugs in 1.1 French version - lets see if they have been fixed in 1.1.1.

EDIT: Comparing the two, French 1.1.1 and English 1.1.1 are almost identical.

My game actually ran better before I dl'd the patch. Is there a way to remove it? Thanks.

Mine? Start->Paradise Fr2En->Uninstall
Official? Start->control panel->software->Paradise 1.1 Update uninstall

And yes, the patches (both official and mine) do in fact add a few bugs.
What kind of problems do you have?
