Which works in the majority of cases. Other programs/games refuse to work in XP.

Or you can use Virtual PC to install a previous version of Windows.

Erm, the Curse of Monkey Island will work as normal through Windows XP. Just install and run. At least, that's what I do...

Just to clarify, the majority of Windows 95/98 games will work in XP without you needing to do anything at all.

Some will require you to enable 'Compatibility Mode' for that game, which is easy.

There are only a very small minority of games that require extensive tinkering to get them to work, and Curse of Monkey Island isn't among them.

curse of monkey island have some problems if you run it in xp whit directx 9.0. the issue is whit the directsound.
you can also get som problems if you have enabled hyperthreading.
you can read how to fix the problem here, both the directsound problem and the hyperthread problem: http://forums.adventuregamers.com/sh...ad.php?t=14603
