Runaway problem

ok after some time i realized why so many people where having trouble with the 5th chapter crash.

it is because the illegal copy BUT the problem starts somewhere else.

you see, i got an original version of the game, BUT it was the beta english one. (got it from a rewiewer friend in a magazine). probably the patch made was for that version since the copied game was out before the original one!

so i guess that sums it up!

my problem though is that i also got the some crashes.....

oh well what can you do?

i could buy the game but since i already have an original (a beta one, but still original) i dont feel like it.

anyone know anyway to buypass the crash?

Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, it doesn't make me feel any better to know that the illegal copy floating around is a beta version. Not only is it illegal, but it's also an unfinished version that was not intended for the public. No wonder publishers take so long to send out review copies, if they can't trust the press to hold onto the beta copies they do send out.

So, sorry, no. We can't help you bypass the problem. Buy a legal copy... it sells for cheap these days.

yes i guess you are right.
i really have no idea where these people manage to get their copies.
but the beta was also sent to users for beta testing and not only to press so lets not be hasty to blame it on them.

oh well, i found another friend with an original one, im gonna get it and play it from him.

having loads of friends playing adventures really helps!

we each buy around 10 (original only) per year and then play them together!

i know its not good for the companies but cut me some slack! i need to play!

I buy a lot of my games used.

Anyway, I'm glad you found a solution to your problem. Enjoy the game. The sequel's supposed to come out this year... I'm looking forward to it.

i wouldnt say i am looking forward to the sequel though.

its just that the whole hip country thing the 1st one has, has simply vanished into a brit pop adventure with "trendy" characters. and mostly, i hate the new music....
loved liquer in the 1st one.

oh by the way fov, i finished it already. 5 hours of team brainstorming where enough! at last finished!
