"Scratches" Status & Walkthrough
AFAIK, the German version of the game was released about 3 weeks ago. From some of the forums a number of folk are playing it, and several have already finished it. The USA version is supposed to be released on March 1st.
The walkthrough (written in English) should be of assistance to anybody badly stuck in the European version. It is an ultra-comprehensive walkthrough consisting of 2 dozen over-detailed full A4 text pages (no unnecessary graphics included). Since the USA-English version should be identical (or almost so), the same walkthrough should serve for that, hopefully in about 2½ weeks time. I very much doubt that there will be any discrepancies, but if so they will be very quickly updated. The walkthrough is presently posted on …………. http://www.gamesover.com/walkthroughs/Scratches.htm But it is due to be posted on additional Adventure Sites. |

I haven't had any further final confirmation of the release date of March 1st ... nothing on the beta-testers' Forum.
Anybody got any further news ?? |

More "Scratches" walkthroughs in English ......
…… but the English (USA) version of the game doesn’t seem to have been released yet ?!?
The German version of the game was released somewhere around 6 weeks ago. My walkthrough has now been posted on AdventureLantern … http://www.adventurelantern.com/Walk.../scratches.htm …in addition to its original posting on GamesOver … http://www.gamesover.com/walkthroughs/Scratches.htm It’s a very dry factual detailed walkthrough without mentioning anything about the story itself. It may have some advantage [??] in that the game is basically linear and divided into 3 days of 10 hours each. Hence, if a player is stuck, s(he) need only look at the one particular section that’s causing the problem … and should not have to unwittingly see anything concerning the other 29 ‘hours’ ( a complaint that many “anti-walkthoughers” justifiably make)! Since then, 2 other walkthroughs have been posted … one on JA+ http://www.justadventure.com/Walkthr...Scratches.shtm and (yesterday) the other on Fisicx http://www.fisicx.com/scratches/walkthrough.htm I have only very superficially scanned a little of each of them. But AFAIK, they both seem to have been written in a FAR more attractive narrative style than mine … especially the latter! |

Thanks for the WT, I guess. Still waiting for the game, which I think is still 03/08/06 or beyond.
I'm occasionally irked when the WTs arrive the same day the game is delivered. I'm not sure how I feel when the WT is delivered prior to the game release.
