Simple question about Scumm VM for Mac.
To run something like Broken Sword on Scumm VM, all I would require is the disc itself and the program? It seems like it would require something extra.

What operating system do you have btw? Edit: I'm not sure Broken Sword would run on SCUMMVM. Someone else will have to answer that. |

Actually, it's just a teensy bit more complex than what Melanie first said. See this thread.

Anyway, I've adopted fov's philosophy for as long as I've been posting here: Quote:

EDIT: Jake's ScummVM tutorial for Macs is one of the best threads ever. Except it doesn't change the fact that Broken Sword is apparently not supported on the Mac. |

Have I lost everybody here, or is that remotely clear?

I know Mac versions of some SCUMM games can be played on a PC using ScummVM. Does it work the other way around? If so, then Broken Sword (PC version) should work on a Mac using ScummVM. I guess. |

You need to download new video files for the PC version. From the readme of ScummVM: Quote:

Awesome! Maybe now I can finally replay one of my favorite games of all time with high quality voiceovers, FMVS, graphics, and music! I was unfornate to have only played the GBA version, but I'm really hoping this will soon change that. Funny thing is, I found the GBA version extremely impressive even without all the snazzy features of the PC version, so I can only imagine how great this version will be.
