Default Wowed in wowser land...

Have you ever wondered after completing a game that there is obviously someone else doing far, far better than you are?

In NGC (a nintendo mag) they gave me a website that has downloads of people killing games in record times, from Zelda: Ocarine of Time [5:25mns] to Half-Life [0:45mns!!].

if you haven't completed these games then it will obviously spoil them but for the rest of us it's very cool.

enjoy!

Of course, 'doing better' is not necessarily 'enjoying it more'. I knew for instance that BG&E was a short game, so I took a lot of time just browsing through the scenery, trying to be there as long as I could without stalling the quest. I clocked some 21 hours while some did in 10/15 in their first run.

Speedruns are fun to see though I saw a Megaman 2 speedrun that was just unbelievable (and possible emulator-slowed). And just yesterday I saw someone run through Maniac Mansion in 10 minutes. Heh.

Some of the highlights:

- Quake Done Quick, the one that started it all, and the most refined one
- Fallout 1 in 11 minutes
- Morrowind in 14 minutes

They're not long, and quite incredible to watch . Especially Morrowind is fantastic.

are you the bloke who used all those fortify intelligence potions in morrowind to become the cleverest and best potion-maker in the village, city, peninsula, island, country, continent, world, galaxy, universe, and multiverse of alternative universes full of strange new worlds and possibilities?

These are hilarious, especially Super Mario, these kids have to much sparetime, I mean think how much you must practice a game so you can make a record like this..
